This is the final post in a 4-week series of reasons for giving thanks. If you missed any posts in this series, here are the links below:
The final 3 reasons for giving thanks are the most important in my life.
Reasons for Giving Thanks
3. I am thankful for my daughter. If you have followed this blog for a while, you know that I have a daughter who has Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome). Hannah is my first and only child. No one thinks they will have a child who has challenges, but it happens. These days I cherish the big hugs and kisses we share, because one day she will think it’s not cool to give big hugs and kisses to mom.
2. I am thankful for my husband. My husband, Bennie is a wonderful man. He is one of my biggest supporters and he is my very best friend. I never thought in a million years that I would marry a man like him, but I did and I am grateful. He helps with homeschooling Hannah, even though he says he’s not the teaching type. When I had my bout with depression, he was the one who held me as I cried and told me everything will be okay.
1. I am thankful for my relationship with God. My relationship with God is growing and deepening everyday. I am not ashamed to say that I am a Christian, even though I don’t talk about it on this blog, I am very much a believer in Jesus Christ and I do my best to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable unto God.
This concludes the 10 Reasons for Giving Thanks series. I enjoyed writing this series because it helped me focus on gratitude. Keeping a gratitude journal is something I have on my vision board and these series of posts kicked off the vision.
Give thanks not just on Thanksgiving and during the holiday season, but give thanks throughout the year. Expressing your thankfulness does amazing things for your mind body, and spirit.
Always give thanks!
