14 Lessons I Learned in 2016

lessons-2016

Today, I share 14 lessons I learned in 2016. This blog post is probably the shortest post I’ve ever written on this blog.

I learned that:

  1. real friends are not always the same age or race as you are
  2. negativity is alive, but it’s up to you to focus on the positive
  3. it is okay to do what works best for you regardless of what others are doing
  4. in business, you have to put yourself out there and not be afraid of sharing what you know with others
  5. it is possible to have a joyful spirit
  6. fitness is important whether you are 45, 55, 65, or 75
  7. good things do come to those who work hard and put in the time
  8. buying big ticket items with money you’ve saved is very rewarding
  9. investing a little time into social media networking sites, for business, (sites that work best for you) actually, does pay off
  10. eating a crazy amount of fat on a ketogenic diet is not necessary to be in ketosis
  11. not following the crowd is always best
  12. it’s okay to be a nice person
  13. the best things in life are priceless
  14. prayer and faith are essential.

Thank you for your support and emails, for reading, commenting, and sharing the content on this blog!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Prosperous New Year!

See you in 2017!

Blessings,

Hey Evelyn! Just found your blog after you followed me on twitter (so thanks for that!) lol. Def loved #3 on your list. I try to make sure I do what’s right for me & my situation too, specifically when it comes to putting myself out there on social..a lot of people have told me to join Instagram but it wouldn’t be smart for me right now. Also, #4 has proven SO true for me on Twitter & my blog. Definitely agree with you & so happy I found your blog :))

    • Hi Jess!!
So glad to connect with you on Twitter! I have an Instagram account, but I won’t be posting too much on it or investing much time in it in 2017. I have a new DSLR camera, and I want to take more photos for my blog and other projects. I’ve learned to put time in where I get the most bang, no matter what people say. I applaud you for not joining Instagram and waiting until you know it is the right time for you.

Have a wonderful year and I wish you the best in your career and blogging! 🙂

  2. Thanks for sharing the lessons you learned in 2016 Evelyn!I agree with all 14!I hope that your 2017 is filled with many blessings, joy, love and light!
