Got Gas? Check Your Food Combination

| July 20, 2010 | 5 Comments

You just became a vegetarian/vegan/raw vegan.  But you are bloated, have flatulence (gas), nauseated at times and confused by the way your digestive system is working.

You say to yourself, “Man this veggie thing, isn’t for me because, I feel worse than I did before…I’m calling it quits.”

Hold up, wait a minute!  Don’t quit the diet so fast.  Let’s take a look at what may be causing your digestion issues.

Proper food combining could be the culprit.

Proper Food Combining

Proper food combining makes digestion easier and more efficient.

If you are going to eat more than one food at a meal, you can greatly improve digestion (and avoid indigestion) by eating foods that require the same gastric juices for digestion and are compatible.

The simpler the meal, the better you feel.

    Hey ,
The only thing I need to add is do not forget the magic power of rock salt or Saindhav salt as called in India. Add a pinch in your diet and see how it removes the gas formation.Try it and see yourself

Wow, I never thought about what foods may not compliment each other. Great info! I am going to have to keep this information handy! I have to admit, some days are are a little (okay, maybe a lot) more airy than others. :o )

I’m going to keep this info. handy. I’ve been doing fine overall but am transitioning into mainly vegan eating now, with an emphasis on raw foods. Actually, if you see anyone pitching a tent on your blog over the next few weeks, it will be me :)
