Being Unique in a Vegetarian/Vegan Blogging Niche
It is not easy blogging in a vegetarian/vegan niche. Once we get our blogs set up, most of us usually pattern ourselves after other bloggers /vloggers in our niche.
There is nothing wrong with following someone else’s way of doing things, but no one wants to see a repeat of the same things.
Today, I’ll let you in on a little secret about blogging in a vegetarian/vegan niche. Be yourself! Who else can do it better?
My interest in a raw vegan diet, led me into blogging about my journey. The more I blogged, the more I liked blogging. After a year and a half of blogging, I decided to start this blog.
I quickly learned that there wasn’t that many people searching for raw vegan topics and that many people are not willing nor are they ready to give up animal products or cooked foods. But one thing is for certain, people will always be looking for ways to improve their health.
As a result of this, I dared to be different. Everyone wants to be healthy, right? So the best next thing is to integrate vegetarianism/vegan-ism in with helping others make healthy lifestyle changes.
Here is how you can be unique in a vegetarian/vegan blogging niche or any other blogging niche:
- Dare to be different. Don’t be like everyone else. Who wants to keep seeing the same things over and over again?
- Be creative. Jazz up your posts, with snazzy headlines. Leave your readers wanting more.
- Be informative. After reading your post, ask yourself, will this post help anyone?
- Don’t be afraid to speak your mind. If you have a different opinion about a certain topic, then share it. Who knows where it may lead?
- Write e-books, guides or reports. When you do this, don’t be like everyone else, be different. This should be your most beneficial, helpful and informative piece of work.
- Be you. Don’t try to be anyone else, just be and do you.
If you are blogging in the vegetarian/vegan niche, what are you doing to stand out from the rest?

Great post, and as some mentioned it can be applied to other niches also.
I simply am myself, with my newest site, I don’t blog exclusively about Veganism. I’ve been Vegan since 1992. I’m a whole food (highly raw) Vegan, eating healthy has been part of my lifestyle even before I made the switch.
I’m also passionate about exercise. The fact that I exercise as much as I do, with hopes of competing in the future, has triggered a lot of comments, and put to rest (for the most part) the myth about protein.
Although I’m passionate about healthy eating along with Veganism I don’t force my beliefs onto others.
Simply writing/sharing things that aren’t necessarily focused on Veganism shows that in many ways we’re just like anyone else, and not as “strange” as some might think.

Hi Moondancer,
Thank you!
That’s cool, competing and all. I’ll be sure to follow your blog. This is quite interesting!
I think we go farther in our endeavors when we do not force our belies onto others. I like you, just put the information out here and let others learn from that.
You make some great points.
Thanks for stopping by and much success in all you do!
Take care!
