Watch This Vegetarian Woman Get Ripped
I bet this headline caught your attention. I don’t really want to get ripped, but if it happens, I will take it. My goal is to get tone and definition, which I’m thinking could lead to getting ripped.

Watch me get ripped!
This week I started my exercise regimen. My goal for this week is working out for three times a week.
I have to gradually ease into this, because I am known to start a routine and then stop, but not this time.
Eventually I will work out every day, but until then, I’ll stick with gradually easing into this.
I am on a mission! I want nice abs, defined arms, and thighs and whatever else I can get, I want it. I’ll be 41 years old next month, yeah 41, so this is the perfect time to go for my dreams.
Some people think that to get defined muscles, you have to eat animal foods, but this is not the case. Just check out Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness and you’ll see that it is possible to get the body you want while eating a vegan diet.
Watch me do this!
Preparation for the Mission
Bodybuilding & Fitness
(I am not trying to become a bodybuilder, but who knows?)
I really have no clue where to begin, but thanks to some health and fitness bloggers, I’ll get it done.
These health and fitness bloggers don’t realize this, but they are helping me with this mission:
- Jonathan from World of Diets
- Tatianna from Loving Fit
- Alexandra and Kymberly from Fun and Fit
- Tamara from Fit Knit Chick
- Doug from Health Habits
- Tony from Coach Calorie
- Alex from Calorie Secrets
- Another source I’ll use is Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness.
How are these health and fitness bloggers helping me? Well, they have awesome information on their blog, what more can I say.
I also have a book by Paul Chek, Awesome Abs: The Gut Busting Selection for Men & Women and there are workout schedules for beginners, intermediates, and the advanced. You know, I am a beginner so that’s what I will be trying.
Diet
My diet is in the planning stages, but I have some great resources that I will use. One of those resources is Robert Cheeke. His book, Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness has a lot of helpful information that I will use as a guide.
I don’t think I will have to eat as much food as Robert has outlined in his book, because I’m not trying to become a bodybuilder, but it will give me a general idea about diet and nutrition.
Exercise Equipment
I will use what I have, because I don’t have a gym membership. What did people do back then when there were no gyms? Plow the fields and I guess they worked out where ever they could.
All joking aside, I have resistance bands, dumbbells, a jump rope, a rebounder, a bicycle, a treadmill, video workout tapes, myself, and the great outdoors (which is the best of all).
Supplements
These are the supplements that I have now:
- A Multivitamin
- A Hair, Nails and Skin Beauty Activator
- Vitamin B-12
- Flax Oil with DHA
- Coconut Oil
- Hemp Protein
- Spirulina
- Kelp
This may look like a lot, but I don’t take these supplements everyday. I know I will need to add few items to this list.
The Mission
As you can see, my determination will make this happen. I’m putting myself out here and the reason I am doing is to show others that this is possible. I also documenting this, because it helps me with accountability.
Expect to see my current weight revealed, measurements and other things that I will be doing. This will be an adventure.
I will update you on everything that I am doing. When I get my diet plan laid out, I will post it is as well as the supplements and etc. This means that my posting frequency will increase, so bear with me readers. I am on a mission.
I will also post frequent updates on You Tube, which means that some of my posts will have video content.
A nice commenter shared this quote with me and this is my motto, for this mission:
Have the passion, take the action and magic will happen. – Bar Rafaeli
Until next time…

Have you every heard of a vegan protein called Sun Warrior? I myself am taking it for a couple of weeks and seem to be seeing some results. If I remember correctly they’re 100% vegan because the protein is extracted from rice or something like that. There are actually a TON of vegan supplements out there to try, just wanted you to know. Thank for the article.

Hey Leah!
Things are going okay. I did a smoothie cleanse last week and I didn’t exercise during that time. I have to get back on track, but I’m still in it to win it.
Thanks for stopping by!

You can absolutely get the body you want and be a Vegan at the same time! I work at Whole Foods market and I know a lot of toned firm women who are vegan. the thing is to plan like you are doing and use some trial and error methods. If it doesn\’t work for you stop and re-evaluate.

Hey Corey!
Thanks for chiming in and sharing. Very encouraging, indeed!
You are right, the headline really caught my eye. Well for our life time we try getting into the shape so that we look smart but do not follow simple diet. That is sufficient to get in to a good shape.

Hey Ronak!
You’re right, it seems like a lifetime, but I’ve never ever tried this, so hopefully this change will be something I stick with for the long haul.
Diet is very important too.
Thanks for chiming in!
Evelyn
Thanks for reminding me that I can get the body I want while eating a vegan diet, I eat lots of meat of protein source, have to cut down on that.

I’m just seeing this now, as I’ve been at my son’s graduation, but I love this post (and thanks for the shout out). I am a vegetarian too, and I’m nice and toned with no desire to ever look like a bodybuilder. By the way, you are amazingly gorgeous! Love this picture of you.
