Become a Healthier You Statistics for 2012

evelyn-heyBlogging takes a lot of work and if you want to improve your statistics, you must write quality content.  Some say you have to be show up everywhere online (social networking sites), but my view on this has changed.

I learned that you don’t have to be on a lot of networking sites.  Choose a few maybe 1-3 and stick with those.

The biggest lesson I learned from the year of 2012, is to write, write and write more.  Spend less time on social networking sites and more time on writing and producing.  After all, isn’t writing what blogging is about?

Today, I share with you my blog statistics for 2012 from Google Analytics.

Conclusion

The Page/Visit and Time on Site must be improved.  I will do my best to improve this, but I know it will not be easy.

Overall, I am pleased with the statistics for 2012.  I see improvement and that let’s me know that I am not doing too bad.

I am especially happy that search traffic increased.  Last year, I had more referring sites, than search traffic sources.

This is good, because it lets me know that more people are finding pages in the search engine.

Yes Evelyn, content is king. Especially with Google changing its algorithm of how it determines page rank, quality content is king. Some people say Alexa ranking is worth something, so people say it is not. If you are seeking advertising , Alexa ranking is worth something. If you are concerned about Alexa ranking then showing up on everyone’s page and networking that way is helpful. It is nice to have a high Alexa ranking, just to know it is high. but if being on everyone’s blog is interfering with constantly writing quality content, more effort needs to be placed on writing quality content consistently.

      Hey Aqiyl!

      I agree with you.

I see blogs that have high Alexa Rankings, but very low Page Rank and then I see the opposite too. I don’t know which I’d rather have, but the more I look at things, I would like to have both, a good Alexa and Page Rank. :)

Posting more also helps with Alexa. Just a week and half ago, I had an Alexa of 214K, and right now it is 189K. It is good to network, but content is definitely king.

Thanks for sharing and chiming in!

      Have a great weekend!

      Evelyn
