The Albert Camus quote is my absolute favorite depression quote and it has really meant a lot to me in my life. Another one I like is by Dan Millman – “You don’t have to control your thoughts; you just have to stop letting them control you.”

Those are pretty good quotes for getting you out of simple depression, actually a lot better than I expected when I typed it into Google. If you’re in a slump just recite these four times to yourself. If it’s just a slump though things like St. John’s Wart can also be used for controlling it.

  10. I have struggled with depression and my favorite verse from the Bible is “Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. This is one way to get you through the tough time by knowing Christ is there to help you along the way.
One thing that has truly helped me with depression is eating healthier. I started eating more fruits and vegetables. However, I ate only what was made through organic farming so that my body was not getting all the preservatives, chemicals, or anything else that get put in food.
It is amazing what a difference eating better can do for a person. I feel healthier, more energized, and of course I lost a few pounds, but really for those though days, I stand firm on my bible quote that gets me through the day.

    • Hey Ashely,

I love that bible scripture too.

Eating healthier does help. That is great about the organic farming. I had a garden one year and I’d say that is was organic. I enjoyed that garden so much.

Thank you so much for sharing!
