Thisilyn Cleanse with Mineral Digestive Sweep: Review

January 23, 2012 by Evelyn Parham

woman-bellyThis is the time of the year when people do internal body cleanses. It is a good way to start the new year.

Scheduling vehicles for tune-ups and oil changes are a must. Especially if you want to keep up the life of the engine.

Human bodies need routine tune-ups and those tune-ups come in the form of internal body cleanses.

If you find yourself fatigued, with a poor complexion, sluggish immune system and in need of weight loss, then you do a cleanse.

There are many types of cleanses that you can do, from fasting, to taking herbs. I decided to try the Thisilyn Cleanse 15 Day Mineral Program (kit) and I am glad I did. I had very good results using this cleansing kit.

What is the Thisilyn Cleanse with Mineral Digestive Sweep?

Thisilyn Cleanse, a 15 day program, supports the liver provides a clinically optimal dose of milk thistle. Thisilyn has a bioflavonoid complex (silymarin) that promotes healthy liver function. Thisilyn dissolves easily – and yields two times more silymarin for the body to absorb.

The Mineral Digestive Sweep is balanced to cleanse the bowel, and has Magnesium hydroxide. This cleanse works by:

  •  Encouraging healthy elimination by drawing water into the intestine
  • Softening and swelling waste material
  • Creating pressure in the colon
  •  The magnesium hydroxide is gentle and non-stimulating.

Thisilyn Cleans Tri-Phase Program (purifies, rejuvenates, and energizes)

There are three different pills in this program and labeled Phase I, Phase II and Phase III.

Phase I: Whole Body Detox – This formula has Thisilyn, Artichoke, Turmeric, Dandelion and two proprietary herbal blends to supper the cleansing of multiple body systems, including the bloodstream, gallbladder, liver, lymphatic system, skin and urinary tract. Promotes the transport of toxins and impurities to the intestine for capture by Phase II.

Phase II: 6-Fiber Blend – Contains six natural dietary fibers (including LignaMax, high-lignan flax powder) that are combined in an easily dispersed formula to capture toxins and other impurities in the intestine. Fructooligosaccharides give a pre-biotic boost to support healthy intestinal microflora.

Phase III: Mineral Digestive Sweep – Triphala and Thisilyn encourage the cleansing of impurities and toxins through the bowel. This includes those captured by fibers in Phase II. Soothing herbs are included to comfort this critical cleansing phase.

 Pros

  •  Complete whole body cleanse
  • Easy 15-day program
  • Very gentle
  • You can work as usual without your daily routine being interrupted
  • Reasonably priced
  • Natural
  • Vegetarian Formula
  • You can eat while doing this cleanse (make sure your diet is plant-based, no processed foods)

Cons

  • Have to take 10-11 pills to take daily
  • You can get bored taking these pills

 My Experience

I followed the Thisilyn Cleanse for 15 days.  During this time, I experienced the following:

  • Weight loss (6 pounds)
  • Clearer skin
  • Slept good
  • Stomach pooch got smaller
  • Did not have craving for sweets
  • More energy
  • Clearer thinking
Just because I had this experience, does not mean that you will have the same experience.

Conclusion

The Thisilyn Cleanse is a very gentle and basic cleanse. This cleanse allows you to eat, go about your daily routine and you don’t have to starve yourself to get a good cleanse.

I highly recommend this cleanse, especially if cleansing is new to you. You can’t go wrong.

When you do a cleanse, you should follow the directions. The cleanse that I speak of in this post has directions and it also tells you the types of food you should eat. If you are cleansing for a short period of time, then protein shouldn’t be an issue.

            hi there!
I just purchased this cleanse and wanted to get started right away.. however; there are no instructions that came in the box nor a food guide??
there is nothing to explain how to take the pills.
phase one and two are for 15 days anbd phase 3 is 10 days?
do i take all three phases daily?

            Hi Aimee,

It has been a while since I have done this cleanse. But from what you are telling me this is how I remember that it works:

Yes, you take all 3 phases daily. On the back of each bottle it tells you how many to take per day. Phase 3 has less pills because it might be fiber or colon cleansing type of pill (I can’t remember which it is). But the reason phase 3 has less days is to slow down the cleansing process or wind it down. (just me guessing) But you might want to contact the company for specifics.

As far as food is concerned, you can eat like you normally do, but stay away from junk food and processed foods. Eating the junk defeats the purpose for cleansing. Focus more on eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and drink lot of water.

            Hope this helps?

I love fasting like 2 to 3 times out the year. Fasting along with light cardio exercises is what helped me to lose inner thigh fat. I personally like the wheat grass fast.

      Hi Julie,

      That’s sounds great!

Hmmm, I’ve never heard of the wheat grass fast. I’m sure it is very powerful.

      Thanks for chiming in!

    Hi Evelyn,
I do fast but for spiritual reasons, might as well get the physical benefits as well. How/why does fasting cleanse your insides and how long is recommended?

      Hi Robert,

I too fast for spiritual reasons. During fasting periods the digestive system is resting, which gives the allows the body time to rejuvenate. It not only helps physically, but spiritually and mentally.

I’ve read that fasting for 3 days is okay, but anything over that should be monitored by a professional. You must do what works best for you.
