It’s that time of the year again to reflect on your gratefulness. We should make gratefulness and express our gratitude priority each day.
Sometimes, I forget to do it, so I’m guilty of not being as grateful as I should be. Also, I’m guilty of looking at what I don’t have and also looking at the experiences of others, wishing that things were a little bit different in my life.
Of course, I only do that with one area of my life (which I will never be able to change), but it’s still one too many.
The Meaning of Grateful and Gratitude
We throw around the word grateful and gratitude a lot, but do we know what they mean?
Grateful means (a) being appreciative of benefits received (b) expressing gratitude.
Gratitude’s essential meaning is when you express (a) a feeling of appreciation or thanks. (b) the state of being grateful: thankfulness.
Merriam-Webster
So, grateful is when you express your appreciation verbally or in written format. And gratitude is what and how you feel when expressing your thankfulness.
I’m Grateful
I am grateful to be alive, for good health, and my immediate family and close friends.
There are people in our society who don’t have the necessities. I am grateful to have shelter, clean water, food, and clothing and to be able to help those in need.
I am grateful for financial freedom, which enables me not to worry or be stressed or lacking.
Lastly, I am grateful for those who read and support this blog and motivate me to keep going on YouTube.
It might appear I’m not doing anything (because I don’t share everything), but there’s always more going on than meets the eye.
Thank you for reading this blog post, and remember to express your thankfulness for everything you have and every person in your life who speaks life into your spirit.
Until next time.
Keep shining!🌻
Feel free to share what you are grateful for below in the comments. -Thank you!

Hi Evelyn,
What a timely post! I’m very grateful for having life. As I look around, I see that so many have passed. I used to hear people say that they were thankful that “things are as well as they are”. Now, I truly understand it. I am most appreciative for the connection that you and I have made. Thanks so much, my friend.

Hey Trinity! Yeah, so many have passed. I have to tell myself that things could be worse than they are in certain areas of my life, it truly puts things into perspective.🌻
I’m grateful for our connection. It’s rare to make an online connection that is long-lasting and real. You feel like family to me, well you are family. 🤗
Blessings to you and your family, my friend!!💕
