Raw for Dessert is a raw vegan dessert book written by Jennifer Cornbleet. Jennifer is the best-selling author of Raw Food Made Easy. Raw for Dessert is a very simple recipe book and I love the simplicity of this book. Raw for dessert has a total of 119 pages and you will find it very easy to navigate.

- Ingredients you will need
- Equipment you will need
- Serving ware you will need
- Techniques you will need
- Knife skills you will need.
Don’t worry guys, everything she tells you is so simple, even a child can assist you in making these yummy desserts.
Types of Recipes You Will Find
Basic recipes which include almond milk, dates paste, vanilla cashew cream, chocolate cashew cream and more.
- Fruit Desserts
- Sorbets, Ice Cream, and Sundaes

I made the Banana Cream Pie and it was delicious. The author says that the Banana Cream Pie will last for three days. Well, you don’t have to worry about keeping this pie for three days, because this pie will disappear in no time. 🙂

I’d be commenting on this post competition or not 🙂
I eat a banana every day….love them and this pie you are talking about sounds delicious. I have been seeing more about raw diets on the net and this has whetted my appetite to research more on it.
As always, an informative and enjoyable post. Keep sharing; I love it.

Hi Evelyn,
I’m throwing my hat in the ring! I would love a copy of the book. Here’s why. My wonderful husband has been fighting a battle with weight for his whole life. He has been a hard core meat eater, pasta eater, junk and all that. I have done my best to be a good example of healthy eating for him. Anyway two weeks ago, he was feeling miserable (he has asthma and high blood pressure) and decided to join me on a raw diet for a week. He felt so good that he is into his second week! He is enjoying the food & smoothies I am making for him. About 80% raw 100% vegan and no processed food, no wheat products.
The most exciting thing is that his asthma seems to be going away! He was always very noisy to sleep with (wheezing and snoring.) The past few nights he has been so quiet and peaceful that I had to check to make sure he was breathing! Also 15 pounds melted off his body.
I would like to celebrate his success with a raw banana cream pie!
Thanks for all your wonderful posts! I love getting them in my mail.
Namaste,
Holly

Hi Holly,
That is so amazing about your husband.
Another testimony to what eating a 100% plant-based diet can do. I am so happy when I hear stories like yours.
Wow, the weight loss is so good and I know he is feeling a lot better.
Keep up the good work and hang in there!
Thanks for entering the giveaway! 🙂
Take care,

Evelyn,
that’s a fantastic idea. I like the ingredients you use to make the dessert. Walnuts, coconut and cane sugar, raisins and dates, are my favorite ingredients in a pie. Yum! this banana cream pie is out of this world! I want to win this competition, get the book and go straight to my kitchen to execute the recipe!

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for entering the contest! 🙂
Best wishes,
Evelyn
Kissie says
Just 2?! Wow, you’re on the ball.
Thanks for sharing and introducing Jennifer. Help me to understand something; will having this book in my possession help me to achieve my weight loss goals by January? I’m wondering if raw foods desserts affect me the same way my former sweets did.
I don’t need to eat a pie in a sitting and you make it look like I wouldn’t have a problem doing just that. So tell me that the desserts won’t cause stress in my life by making me feel (once again) FAT!
😎 Thanks, Ev
Evelyn Parham says
Hi Kissie,
Just 2? I’m only giving away 1 book. The other is a link to where you can enter in the Book Publishing Company giveaway. I’m was just sharing that information, just in case anyone was interested.
It possibly can help you. Because the desserts are raw and made mostly of fruit and nuts and plant-based sweeteners. The dessert I made wasn’t too sweet at all and it didn’t make me feel heavy.
Now, you wouldn’t want to eat a whole pie in one setting, but I tell you it wouldn’t be hard to do. If you are concerned with that, I’d suggest cutting the recipe in half and making just enough for you to have 2 or 3 servings.
From what I can tell, you wouldn’t have to worry about these desserts making you fat. These are vegan with little fat and calories, so I think you should be fine. 😉
You must remember that your former desserts were probably loaded with ingredients that were high in fat and refined sugar, not to mention the calories, so again, you should do fine.
Thank you Ev! 🙂
Take care,
Evelyn
Evelyn Parham says
Sorry, I misunderstood you about the just 2. I now realize that you were talking about the guest posts. ooops!
Kissie says
No prob, I have the “fine” part down, I just wanna make sure I get the “fit” part right.
Sorry Evelyn, you know how it is when some old corny man use the line on you … “I know you’re fine but how ya doin’ is what I wanna know.” That line is so tired! But, thanks for letting me know. Now I want the BOOK!
Evelyn Parham says
Thanks, Kissie!
Keep it fine and push on to getting fit! You got it, Ms. Lady! 😉
Thanks for entering the contest!
Take care,
Evelyn
