11 Quotes To Help You With New Beginnings

January 14, 2013 by Evelyn Parham

young-plant-in-groundMost of us consider January, a month for making changes, new beginnings and starting over.  Some of us make changes on the first day of January and some of us pick a start date some time in January.  Whenever you decide to make changes or start over, it is important that you stick with the changes.

I mentioned to you that I will start eating an alkaline diet in 2013.  At the time I told you about the alkaline diet, I had not set a start date.  I am happy to inform you that I have set a date and I am set to begin on January 28, 2013.  I will keep you posted in future articles.

Are you ready to for new beginnings, changes and starting over?  It is not an easy task, but with the proper planning and mindset, you can do whatever you want.

Here are some quotes that will help you give your new beginning and changes a jump-start.

New Beginning Quotes

Don’t wait for something big to occur, start where you are, with what you have, and that will always lead you into something greater. – Mary Manin Morrissey

The secret to getting ahead is getting started.  The secret to getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks and then starting on the first one. – Mark Twain

Life never presents us with anything which may not be looked upon as a fresh starting point, no less than as a termination. – Andre Glide

Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire transcends everything. – Napoleon Hill

The beginning is the most important of the work. – Plato

If all you can do is crawl, start crawling. – Rumi

It is your attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome.  – William James

Don’t wait until everything is just right.  It will never be perfect.  There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions.  So what.  Get started now.  With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident, and more and more successful. – Mark Victor Hansen

Take the first stop in faith.  You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step. – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Every man should be born again on the first day of January.  Start with a fresh page.  Take up one hole more in the buckle if necessary, or let down one, according to circumstances;  but on the first of January let every man gird himself once more, with his face to the front, and take no interest in the things that were and are past. – Henry Ward Beecher

Stop saying that you cannot make change and that it is too hard;  start doing your thing, one day at a time. – Evelyn Parham

    Hey Evelyn .
Impelling quotes . For a new start a good attitude is must , a positive attitude seems obvious but new beginnings are intimidating and scary and can be overshadowed by negative thoughts and doubts . Loved the read .

HA! Nice! All the points you listed are good, but this on stood out to me: If all you can do is crawl, start crawling. – Rumi

Change is not easy, everyone please just accept this. But change is possible and just takes work. It took work to do what we are doing now, so it will take work to do something else.

I think the biggest challenge may actually be in believing that we can change, and we can. We have to develop new routine which can be hard, and have to let go of things that interfere with the new routine.

Congrats Evelyn on starting your new routine.

      Hey Aqiyl!

Yeah, I like the Rumi quote too.

Change is possible. I agree with your points!

Thank you, I’m looking forward to it.

      Take care,

      Evelyn
