Making Spaghetti Sauce in an Instant Pot

August 20, 2019 by Evelyn Parham

Disclosure

Spaghetti is one of my favorite foods and since I have an Instant Pot, I put it to use. I’m making spaghetti sauce in an instant pot with my daughter.

I’ve only used the Instant Pot three or four times. It’s a great appliance, and I look forward to making more meals with it.

If you want to take a break from using pasta noodles, then try zucchini noodles. I’ll show you how to make zucchini noodles. They are a great way to cut back on your carbohydrates.

Let’s make spaghetti!

Ingredients for Spaghetti Meat Sauce

  • Red and Yellow Bell Pepper
  • Onion
  • Mushrooms
  • Garlic
  • Ground Turkey
  • Italian Herbs
  • Pink Salt
  • Italian Herbs
  • Oil
  • Your Favorite Spaghetti Sauce
  • Zucchini

Directions

Add a little oil to the Instant Pot. Select Sauté on the Instant Pot. Pour chopped bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms into the Instant Pot. Cook until vegetables are soft, then add minced garlic.

Add ground turkey to the instant pot, season with Italian herbs and salt. Cook turkey until done. Pour in your favorite spaghetti sauce. Turn Instant Pot on Slow Cook and allow it to simmer.

Preparing Zucchini Noodles

Wash and cut off the ends of zucchini. Place zucchini in the vegetable slicer (Sprialetti) to make your zucchini noodles.

Sauté Zucchini Noodles.

Serve spaghetti over Zucchini Noodles.

I tried this recipe. It was super delicious. However, I used frozen zucchini noodles, and they were a bit too watery . The next time, I’ll have to tweak the zucchini. I realize now that I didn’t need the amount of water that I used. Thanks for sharing!

      Hey Trinity!
Cool, I’m glad you enjoyed it!! Zucchini is tricky because of the water content. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!
      Have a good one!
