Get Healthy and Live a Happier Life with Me

Happy Friday! Today, I felt compelled to write about why I chose,  get healthy and live happier as my tagline.

Have you noticed my new logo? It says, “Get Healthy” under my name. Here’s the back story behind the logo.

Why I Chose Get Healthy

A few years ago, I reconnected with one of my best friends from high school. She sent me a friend invite on Facebook, but I didn’t recognize who she was.

After, realizing who she was, I accepted her friend invite. I recall her sending me a message and asking me what kind of work I do.

She messaged me saying, “I support you and what you are doing.” No one has ever said that to me other than my husband and another close friend.

She posted on Facebook, “Anybody wants to get healthy? Come on and get healthy with me.” She was working hard on improving her health.

I got a phone call in August about 3 ½ – 4 years ago that my friend had passed away, unexpectedly; she was only 43 years old.

After the shock wore off, I reflected on how excited and motivated my high school friend and classmate was to “get healthy.”

Do what feels right for you and stand in it.

Do Whatever Feels Good to Your Soul

For almost four years, I wanted to use, “Get Healthy” but chose not to use it because it’s too broad; it’s not specific.

It didn’t dawn on me until I watched Mitch Mitchell’s video, “It’s Your Business, Do Your Own Thing” about focusing on one thing and being niche specific.

Mitch mentions in his video that he’s good at a lot of things, but doesn’t want to do just one thing.

Although I understand the logic of being niche specific and concentrating on one thing, it is not something that I am content with doing.

I kept, “Get Healthy” tucked away and tried forgetting it, but I just couldn’t let it go.

When I decided to put, “Get Healthy” in my logo, my soul felt good, and I am now at peace.

Whenever something feels right for you to do, but others say, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” be strong enough to go against the grain and do your own thing.

Walk by faith and not by sight!
