We are always growing and evolving. The day we cease changing is the day we stop living. Here are five beautiful quotes to inspire positive change with commentary. Enjoy.
“You change your life by changing your heart.” ~ Max Lucado
Have you ever had a strong opinion about something, but knew you probably needed to switch your point of view?
I have, and when I opened my mind and my heart, I was able to see things differently.
By opening my heart, I was able to grow more than I ever imagined.
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” ~ Maya Angelou
Applying this quote to my life is natural because anything I’ve ever disliked, I’ve disconnected from it.
If it meant letting go of jobs, people, or food, I changed it.
But when it is not in my power to tweak anything, I pray and focus on the positive.
Focusing on the positive and refusing to complain helps change your attitude about the situation. Try it.
“Change your life today. Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay.” ~ Simone de Beauvoir
The first thing that comes to mind is making lifestyle changes. Sometimes when we think it is impossible to lose weight, get fit, eat healthier, or do self-care rituals, we will put it on the back-burner.
We never follow through; we say, “I’ll do this some other time, but the time never comes.”
Don’t put off tomorrow, what you can do today. Yes, it will be hard, but try it anyway.
“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.” ~ William Arthur Ward
Stop complaining. For some of us complaining is a daily act. Do you realize that complaining doesn’t get you anywhere?
It keeps you stuck where you are. However, if you drop the complaining and begin expecting things to get better, you will walk, talk and do what’s necessary to get what you expect.
Expect and act like you already have change. Eventually what your it becomes a reality.
“Goals allow you to control the direction of change in your favor.” ~ Brian Tracy
Set goals and take action. What good is a goal without a plan of action. Realize that having a goal propels you in the direction in which you want to go.
You may not hit the bullseye in the middle, but you’ll come close. Don’t throw a dart with blinders on, take off the blinders so you can see what you need to do.
Let change take you where you want to go and don’t be afraid.
Until next time.
Take care of you.
