10 Ways Your Body Benefits From Exercising

January 16, 2012 by Evelyn Parham

Rebounding is Fun

How many of you made resolutions and set goals to exercise this year? I don’t count because I made no resolutions. I’m just doing what I know I need to do.

Now how many of you have fallen off the exercise wagon and said, “I give up?” Don’t be shy, I know there are some of you who have stopped exercising and that’s okay.

The important thing you must do is look at why you stopped exercising and regroup. Knowing why you should exercise will motivate you to stick with your exercise plan.

Think of exercise as a fun treat for your body. There are many ways your body benefits from exercising and here are a few:

Exercise

  1. Helps you stay fit and trim.

  2. Helps you lose weight

  3. Helps you tone up those trouble areas.

  4. Helps your bones

  5. Helps you burn fat

  6. Helps you maintain your weight

  7. Helps you be stronger

  8. Helps cleanse the body by working up a sweat (sweating is cleansing)

  9. Helps your digestive system and all body systems

  10. Makes you feel good not just physically, but mentally too.

Bonus:  Helps you look fabulous

*These are not the only benefits, but I’m sure you get the picture.

Note:  Exercise and a healthy diet go hand in hand.  You can’t have one without the other.

Are you still wondering how you will do this? Well, for one do not allow yourself to make excuses, just get up and move.

You may not be able to do much starting off, but everyone can walk. Start walking and gradually ease yourself into other exercises as you feel comfortable. Always consult your physician before you start any new exercise regimen.

You are ready to make exercising a part of your healthy living plan, but sometimes find it hard to stay consistent. Don’t fear, Jonathan over at World of Diets has developed a Fitness Calendar that you can download for free.

The fitness calendar serves as a constant reminder for you to exercise and stay fit. Not only that, you can write in the times and types of exercise for each day. How cool is that?

What are you waiting on, get back on the exercise wagon and do your thing. Never give up and always remember, starting over never hurt anyone. The biggest hurt is giving up, something you don’t ever want to do.

Download your Fitness Calendar and get moving today.

Discussion:  Have you fallen off the exercise wagon?  If you have what will you do about it?

Evelyn, I like how you walk potential exercisers through the process. Gradually starting with walking and slowly moving toward their target workout. For me, when working out became a stress relief, it changed my entire perspective!
